Lit Dissed
siN's metal news reports: REMEMBERING NEVER have poked back at LIT, following their ongoing war of internet words, and had this to say:

"in retort to the internet has-been crybaby rockstars (which only include singer and chin pony tailed guitar player, and to the best of our knowledge, not the bass player or drummer):no we didnt do it, nor did any other band on the tour. from what we understand, the singer and the guitar player were popping off at the mouth onstage at their rock concert about hardcore, straight edge, and veganism (which obviously they know jack s*** about) and somebody "vandalized" their trailer and bus. i got a phone call from our label 12 hours later about it. apparently they got their tribal tattoos in a twist and the s*** hit the fan on their website. this is quite silly and sad that this washed up bunch are trying to resurrect another 15 minutes of fame. no one cares. you talked s*** about peoples lifestyles. it was dealt with. why are you crying? maybe you'll think twice next time. Pantera Were Planning Reunion?
Blabbermouth reports: Singer Mike D. Williams of EYEHATEGOD, which features in its ranks SUPERJOINT RITUAL guitarist Jimmy Bower, has posted the following message at his Southern Nihilism Front web site:

"I know by now you've all heard this bulls*** [about Dimebag being shot to death]... It's sad as f***. I can't even put into words the scope of the violence involved in this... A couple of my other friends were shot as well.

"The f***ed up thing is that the shooter was apparently pissed 'cos PANTERA broke up... Metallica Killer Denied By Supremes
Blabbermouth reports: The U.S. Supreme Court today (Dec. 13) refused to review the appeal of a Texas death row inmate who chanted the chorus to METALLICA's "No Remorse" after fatally shooting a man in the head in Corpus Christi and robbing him of $13 twenty years ago.

The Supreme Court had previously voted twice to stay Troy Kunkle's execution while his attorneys filed appeals. The most recent vote came last month by a 5-to-4 vote.

His attorneys contend that Kunkle's drug and alcohol abuse history wasn't properly considered as mitigating evidence at trial. But justices declined today to accept the appeal, allowing Kunkle's execution to proceed. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

OuKast Finish Film
Pitchfork reports: After a relatively quiet 2004, the world-conquering duo Outkast will once again be ubiquitous in 2005, with both an HBO film and a pair of albums on the way. The duo's HBO film-- which co-stars Ving Rhames, Paula Jai Parker, and Terrence Howard-- is titled My Life in Idlewild, and is set in the Prohibition-era South, where speakeasy performer Big Boi and his piano-playing pal Andre 3000 are forced to protect their illegal club from gangsters.

The next Outkast LP will either be the My Life soundtrack or The Hard 10, depending on the film's release date. If the HBO movie is first aired in the spring, the soundtrack will hit the stores first; if it doesn't appear until later in the year, The Hard 10 will be issued in the first half of the year. X Factor Losers Biggest Winners
Dis reports: Some of you might have been bored enough to stay in on Saturday and watch Steve Brookstein win ITV's X Factor show. Unlucky. Still, at least you can smirk in the knowledge that show losers G4 are already worth more than the eventual winner.

Irish judge Louis Walsh told a red-top rag that the poperatic four-piece will sign a deal with Sony worth more than the £1m Steve got for winning. Your mum will be pleased. They covered Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody', you know.

And should, probably, be shot for what they did to it. - Click Here for the Full Story

Rounding out the set are tracks from Apollo 440, Junkie XL featuring Saffron, and MBD featuring "Cursed" (and "Scream") score composer Marco Beltrami.
