Goo Goo Doll Robby Takac
Launches Good Charamel Records
press release reports: Bassist/vocalist
Robby Takac made his name and a fortune with the platinum-selling pop-rock
monsters the Goo Goo Dolls. Now Takac has shared the wealth by signing
and producing the full-length debuts by three of Buffalo, N.Y.'s best bands,
and bringing them to the world via Good Charamel Records. You can thank
him later.
Last Conservative - "On To The Next One"
Don't let the name fool you; this Buffalo-based
foursome isn't concerned with politics except for politics of the heart.
Twenty-two-year-old TJ Zindle's songs have wisdom beyond his years, but
his restless heart pumps with the youthful energy and emotionalism that's
often stomped out by the pressures of adulthood.
Klear - "Makin' Noise"
As it's very name suggests, this isn't
high-gloss rock, covered with a lot of fancy trimmings, but rather emotional
American music, straightforward and honest. That approach has already earned
the band a following from extensive touring and play on commercial radio.
Mainstream rock's next sensation has arrived, so it's time to ask for your
nickel back, Klear enough?
The Juliet Dagger - "Turn Up The Death"
Vocalist/guitarist Erin Roberts fronts
this smart punk-pop trio, featuring two raging girls and a spiky-haired
tattooed thrasher on drums. The Juliet Dagger cuts through the clutter
with a mix of pop and punk that recalls the early Go-Go's before they became
sugarcoated chart-toppers. - Click
