Clinton Sex Scandal Relived.
What says Christmas time like the retelling of a Presidential sex scandal? There isn't much rock n roll or drugs in this story (that we know of, he didn't inhale after all) but plenty of sex PageSix reports: HOW is it possible that a president of the United States ends up on E!'s "True Hollywood Story"?

Maybe the question really is how in the world did a president's genitals end up as serious discussion within the Justice Department  - and how did we the people end up paying $40 million to end up with an impeachment based on a report that reads like a romance novel by Jackie Collins?

Given all that, how can the loves and lovers of Bill Clinton not end up on the ultimate celebrity disgrace show?

That said, this two-hour special on the former president may in fact be the best way to get teens to see how the second impeachment in U.S. history came to be.

With interviews with Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Roger Clinton and Susan McDougal, we get to see what the people actually involved in the accusations have to say.

There's enough of the lurid - from Gennifer Flowers' abortion to Monica Lewinsky's blue dress - to keep the celebrity-driven audience mesmerized. And interestingly, there's enough political intrigue to keep even political junkies tuned in.

Yes, we've seen it all before, but not necessarily put together in this way - and not with the wisdom of years from some of the most important players.

MTV Super Bowl
AP reports: Corporate synergy is paying off for MTV.

The cable music network will produce the halftime show for the 2004 Super Bowl airing on CBS. Both MTV and CBS are owned by Viacom.

MTV produced the halftime show for the 2001 Super Bowl, which also aired on CBS and featured Aerosmith, 'N Sync, Britney Spears, Nelly and Mary J. Blige.

"We plan on even more unexpected music performances ... that will go down in halftime history," Van Toffler, president of MTV and MTV2, said in a statement Monday. The performers weren't announced.

America Online is the halftime sponsor.

The Super Bowl will be Feb. 1 in Houston.

Osbournes, Ozzfest Off?
Blabbermouth reports: Ozzy Osbourne may not get back on stage for a year after suffering a broken neck vertebra and other injuries in an all-terrain vehicle accident Monday (Dec. 8), according to the Mirror.

A hospital source said: "Broken ribs make it painful to breathe let alone sing and the tube will have put pressure on his voice box."

In other news, Ozzy's hospital is at the centre of a scare over the killer MRSA bug, according to the Mirror.

A clampdown is in place to stop it spreading through intensive care units.

All but essential staff have been banned from going into the area where Ozzy is recovering from his injuries.

A source at Wexham Park said: "There are serious problems with MRSA." A hospital spokeswoman said: "I think MRSA is pretty usual in a lot of hospitals these days."

RockDirt reports: Ozzy Osbourne was being filmed for his MTV series 'The Osbournes' when he crashed his quad bike. Ozzy narrowly avoided being paralyzed in Monday's accident on his Buckinghamshire estate and is still in intensive care. The new series was to air in the US next month but filming has been suspended until Osbourne, 55, makes a full recovery. Click Here for the Full Story

Pearl Jam Catch Big Fish
Launch reports: Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready was moved to tears when he and the band saw a screening of Tim Burton 's latest film, "Big Fish."

"I personally was crying and trying to hold back tears at the same time," McCready says. "I didn't want people to see that I was crying. It's a beautiful, beautiful movie. It touched me in so many ways."

Frontman Eddie Vedder, a longtime friend of Burton's, also was moved and immediately sequestered himself for two days to write a song for the film. The result is "Man of the Hour," a melancholic, melodic alt-rock ballad that is vintage Pearl Jam.
"Within a few days, Tim and I got this demo tape," producer Richard Zanuck says. "It was very crude, but it had the poignancy that matched the picture ... Both Tim and I felt that the last thing we wanted to do was throw in a song for marketing reasons. I in particular felt that the picture was so moving at the end that I was particularly sensitive about breaking that spell if we didn't have the right (end-title) song."

"Man of the Hour" marks Pearl Jam's first soundtrack contribution since 1998's "Chicago Cab."

"I'm glad we're expanding our horizons," McCready says. "I think we shied away from it before."

This might also mark a new turn in Pearl Jam's career. "Man of the Hour" is the first new song the band has commercially released since 200O's "Binaural" and its first without a record label. (The group recently fulfilled its long-term record agreement with Epic and has not re-signed.) With no label ties, the band is now free to offer "Man of the Hour" for sale as a digital download from its Web site. McCready says there also is talk of a new studio album; the band hopes to start recording again as early as April..Click Here for the Full Story

New Info On Spector Case
Billboard reports: Authorities responding to a 911 call at the California home of record producer Phil Spector in February found a blood-spattered gun, broken teeth and the body of an actress who had been shot in the mouth, according to court records.

Lana Clarkson, 40, was found Feb. 3 slumped in a chair in Spector's hilltop mansion in suburban Alhambra, east of Los Angeles. Her broken teeth were scattered around the foyer and stairway, and a blood-spattered .38-caliber Colt revolver lay under her left leg, the records say.

The search warrants and police reports were obtained from author Carlton Smith, who petitioned the court to have them released.

Spector, 62, is charged with killing Clarkson, which he has denied. He suggested earlier this year in an interview with Esquire magazine that Clarkson may have shot herself. He is free on $1 million bail.

Spector's attorney, Robert Shapiro, said in a statement today (Dec. 10) that scientific evidence "clearly and unequivocally is consistent with a self-inflicted wound that was not the result of any action on the part of Phil Spector." - Click Here for the full story

Last week, Paltrow announced she was expecting their first child next summer.

County officials confirmed that the couple applied for a license last Friday, and that appears to be the date they tied the knot, in a short, secret ceremony.

An official in the county office told The Associated Press Wednesday that documents show the marriage happened but provided no other details, such as the exact date and location.

Publicist Stephen Huvane said his clients refuse to confirm or deny the report. -Click Here for the Full Story
