Murphy The Singer?

and Tina Yothers there's another actress about to launch a singing career.
Brittany Murphy says she's hitting the studio this fall.
"I am going to start recording an album in November," she revealed, although the chatty "Just Married" star was uncharacteristically tight-lipped about what her music will sound like. "Hey, 'Yo, yo,' you know, I have been around the '8 Mile' environment," she joked, adding more seriously, "you'll see [what kind of music it is]. It's going to be a surprise."" Probot
Correction
The publicist for Dave Grohl's Probot
has informed us that original press release sent out (and reported here
yesterday) was incorrect: The track listing for the PROBOT record originally
had a song slated to be mauled by SLAYER frontman Tom Araya was scrapped
and replaced with a track with Kurt Brecht-the man responsible for 20 some
years of hardcore belligerence in D.R.I.
