The news comes following Haggard's two recent hospitalizations for pneumonia. He was first hospitalized in December and then again at the beginning of this month (March 2016).
Following being admitted for his first hospitalization, Haggard told Sirius XM, "A couple weeks ago I came in the hospital here, and I guess I was nearly dead."
He then explained, "They couldn't tell whether the [lung] cancer had returned or whether I just had pneumonia. They had to wait until they got the pneumonia under control before we could tell. So it's been kind of a tough couple of weeks, but I've got so many people to thank."
Haggard camp released this statement from the country music legend about the canceled shows next month: "I want to thank my fans for their prayers and well wishes. I hope to be back on the road in May, but I'm taking it one day at a time."
Although Azalea has yet to speak up about the alleged affair, she tweeted "hmmm i see D Angelo Russell is trending I actually liked his film. Thanks bro."
Both Russell and Young play for the Los Angeles Lakers. Last week, video surfaced showing Russell taping Young while the two discussed his alleged dalliances. Young did not appear aware that he was being directly recorded by Russell (via ESPN).
In the video, Russell asks Young about a woman he allegedly hooked up with when he was 30 years old. The problem is that Young turned 30 on June 1, 2015 and he used his birthday party to propose to Azalea (PopCrush). Read more here.
Urban explained in the press release how the album actually began back in January 2015 and allowed him to work with numerous award-winning songwriters and producers. 'Getting to work with people like this was unlike anything I've envisioned before," he said. "It's the result of writing, reaching, imagining, and following the muse every step of the way."
Some of those new collaborators on the album include Nile Rodgers (of Chic fame, who has also worked with David Bowie, Madonna, Duran Duran and Stevie Ray Vaughan) and Jeff Bhasker (who won the Producer of the Year, Non-Classical award at the GRAMMYs this year, and who has worked with Alicia Keys, P!nk, the Rolling Stones and on Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk").
Ripcord will be released May 6th. For now, check out the tracklist here.
'I've had a lot of music over the years but I don't think I've ever had a song before that's such a direct look into my life," Shelton said in a statement. 'That's why I'm so excited about this particular song."
The song opens with the lyrics: 'Girl you're getting over him, I'm getting over her," an opening salvo many have read as encompassing his current relationship with Gwen Stefani, who recently split from Gavin Rossdale, and his own recent divorce from Miranda Lambert.
The video co-stars the beautiful Ukrainian model Ganna Bogdan and was released in conjunction with the Season 12 premiere of Discovery Channel's hit reality show, Deadliest Catch. Watch the video here.

As part of the 2016 induction class of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Travis and his wife, Mary, took the stage. Mary supported and spoke for her husband, who uttered a gentle "thank you."
'After spending the months in the hospital when they really said there was no hope, go ahead and pull the plug, I went to his bedside, and I said, 'Baby, you've gotta give me some more fight,'" Davis recalled. 'And I knew that he had had a little talk with Jesus, because he squeezed my hand, and a little tear fell down, and I knew that he wasn't through yet. He's a wonderful man, a wonderful husband, and I'm blessed beyond measure to get to walk beside him," she added. Read more here.
At first it seems to be about a girl who has a crush on another woman - which is still taboo in some circles. But it turns out that the narrator is obsessing about another woman because of jealousy; the 'other" woman is with the man the narrator loves.
The members of the band, and presumably, much of the audience, hadn't heard of jealousy referenced in quite that way, in a song, or otherwise. But the song has clearly resonated: 'Girl Crush" won two GRAMMYS: Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song. It also topped the US Hot Country Songs chart and hit #18 on the Billboard Hot 100. It's become something of a sensation: Read more here.
Being billed as a Bad Boy Family Reunion, Diddy will be joined at the event by Faith Evans, Lil' Kim, Mase, FrenchMontana, Total, 112, and Mario Winans.

Cordon dispelled an urban myth when he asked the question we've all wondered about, "Did you insure you butt for a million dollars?" To which she replied, "No." After discussing a potential join venture of J-LO and J-CO, the duo proceeded to break it down with her song, Booty, followed by Jenny From the Block and others.
Corden also sent a special message to Leonardo DiCaprio from Jennifer's phone, "Hey baby, I'm kind of feeling like I need to cut loose. Any suggestions? Let me know. J-Lo, y'know from the block." And Leo replied, "You mean tonight, boo boo? Clubwise?" Sounds like a plan. Watch it here.
Underwood said, "New gadget for underneath the table on the bus. Now, I can keep moving on those long bus rides!" She also asked fans to reply and share their own exercise strategies, "I don't know what other types of things are out there like this, but, so far I'm liking this one! What kinds of portable things do you guys use?"
Underwood will be showing off that hard earned figure once again as she performs at the 51st ACM awards on Sunday, April 3rd. See Underwood's photo post here.
If Bryan's success is any indication, he's appealing to a wide spectrum of country fans. Since his debut, the Georgia native has earned fifteen No. 1 hits. His Tailgates and Tanlines and Crash My Party albums have each received double platinum certifications from the RIAA for sales exceeding two million units each.
He's also taken over the highly coveted spot as co-host of the ACM Awards ceremony. For the past two years, he's stood beside Blake Shelton, the senior co-host (who spent two years co-hosting with Reba McEntire). This year, Bryan becomes the senior on stage, welcoming newcomer Dierks Bentley as a co-host. Read more here.
No mention of the actress's name was made in the promotion leading up to the video, in social media afterwards or even the YouTube video's description. It was almost as if she's a best-kept secret.
Well, that's simply not acceptable. We need to know. Her name is Ganna Bogdan. According to Photo/Genics, Bogdan's agency, Russian-speaking dark blonde is a Ukrainian mixed-media artist, model, actress, and influencer living in Los Angeles. Read more here.
The idea came to me from looking at an actual Still Life painting. The definition of a Still Life subject is "anything that does not move or is dead". I started thinking about people and how in magazines and billboards, these beings are essentially used in the same exact way. They are flawless and beautiful, but at the same time, they can be lifeless, expressionless, and look unnatural and almost not real. They are themselves a Still Life.
From there the story began to develop in my head about a woman, who was a model. She was at one time beautiful and used her face and her body to get work and create this image of perfect beauty, but that is all it was. An image. There was no real life to her life.
In the first verse we learn that she once used her looks and body as her means of earning money through modeling, etc. She has since passed away but in her elder years began to realize that her naivety and innocence allowed her to be pulled into this world of stale beauty. Where you are treated as nothing but an object and essentially not true to your inner self. It describes the artful product of her modeling. The posing in colorful attire to end up on a "rainbow slide", as in a bright picture and how she wears layers upon layers of makeup and basically covers up her true beauty.
Then the chorus changes to her as an old woman telling us that she was a Still Life. This was the only way she knew how to survive because it was the only way she knew of to make money. She didn't know the good or bad of it because of how young she was going into this world. Once she was in, she didn't know any other way to live. Basically she thought this was all she had to offer.
The last verse starts with the line "Such a Chameleon covered all in gold, but gold turns to silver and silver's too damn old." This is telling us that with age she has had to change or alter herself to keep up the good looks and keep her job in front of the camera, but eventually it all fades and you're then too old and the beauty has passed. She longs for her younger soul again. It's the only way she knows to feel relevant.
When we discussed what the title track for this album would be, we all came to this song. Because in some ways, we related to this song as musicians and where we are presently in our lives. Obviously not models BUT as a musician, you tend to try to think of what style will please everyone else, what look will please everyone else. And we wanted to convey that this record really was from our hearts. We took the risk in just doing what WE felt was US. Being ourselves as musicians. Not what we think anyone else wants us to be. It was perfect.
With that came the idea of the conveying this message through the cover images. On the front cover we are in black and white perfectly posed and with makeup making us appear as mannequins, and when you turn it over, the back cover is truly us, in color, not perfect but very happy. That's who we are. We are REAL.
Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself as you watch the video here and learn more about the album right here!
