Troy Ave was arraigned on Monday (May 30) in New York and could be charged with murder after an alleged fist fight backstage at a T.I. concert went terribly wrong, according to the New York Daily News.
Prosecutors say the rapper, aka Roland Collins, "recklessly fired a gun five times in a crowded venue" with no concern for the consequences. Meanwhile, his defense attorney Scott Leemon says otherwise.
"The most important thing in this case is that Troy Ave is an actual victim here," Leemon told AllHipHop. "He didn't shoot himself, he didn't shoot his lifelong friend and bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter." Read more here.
Using the hashtag "#HackersGonnaHack," the person who tweeted as Perry posted a Soundcloud link to a song called "Witness," which has since been deleted.
The song was hosted on a Soundcloud page which is well known for featuring bootleg remixes, reported the NME. Though the vocals reportedly didn't sound like Perry, some have speculated that the track could have been penned by Bonnie McKee, Max Martin or Sia. Read more here.
But OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder quickly took to Twitter to let fans know it's not him on the vocal writing, " FYI to whoever leaked the "@CalvinHarris featuring OneRepublic" song- It ain't me singing. Would gladly collab in the future but it's fake."
Harris responded, further clarifying that it's not even his music, and shouted out Tedder in the process. "Btw it's def not my music either," he wrote. "big up Ryan." Read more here.
"Yeah, I want to tell that lady as well, can you stop filming me with a video camera because I'm really here in real life," she said. "You can enjoy it in real life, rather than through your camera."
"Can you take your tripod down?" she continued. "This isn't a DVD, this is a real show. I'd really like you to enjoy my show because there's lots of people outside that couldn't come in." Read more here.
While her video for "Used to Love You" employed a single-take minimalist approach and her live video for "Make Me Like You" was mounted and performed during the GRAMMYs, a new clip for "Misery" takes her back to the high-production days of yore.
In the video, Gwen can be seen wearing a variety of haute couture looks fit for a Rich Girl. In one of the clip's most striking shots, the No Doubt frontwoman rides around on a bicycle indoors against a neutral color palette. Check out the full video here.
One fan filmed three snippets of the song as a packed room danced along. "This is the first time anyone is hearing this," a DJ reveals as the track comes to a close.
While Bieber has previously remixed Drake's "Hotline Bling" and covered the song in concert, he never officially released his version of the 2015 hit. Check out the song snippets here.
"We recorded 'Smackdown' as a band," says Durbin, "all live instruments and zero autotune, which we highly encourage. 'Smackdown' is loud, raw and in your face.
"We've been grinding away on this album for months now. "It's hard to believe it's time to release it to the world on July 15. I feel like I've grown a lot in the studio and as an artist. I hope all the fans will enjoy what I have to say on the album as I have truly loved co-writing and co-producing Riot On Sunset." Check out the song stream and read more here.

Vocalist Dan 'Soupy' Campbell says: "We know it's been too long since we've really headlined and we're sorry. Scheduling all of this is hard and with two of us getting married this year on top of all the touring we already had planned, fitting a UK run in has been a challenge, but we decided that isn't fair to you.
"So, we're making it happen. At the end of July, we'll be coming over for four very special, very intimate shows. We're playing in small rooms and playing long, ground-covering sets." See the dates here.
Boasting 18 pop gems, Phone Power continues the all-killer, no-filler tradition of the band's current efforts. The disc includes I Love You for Psychological Reasons, the standout track that will be lodged in your head with barely a second listen, and a disarming reworking of Destiny's Child's classic Bills, Bills, Bills.
Recorded in a secret location in New York City with Pat Dillett (Sufjan Stevens, St. Vincent, The National, David Byrne) this album finds the Giants working mostly in the same power-packed configuration as their hard-working live line up, with a minimum of production embellishments.
From the world's first downloadable album to audio and video podcasts to smart phone apps, They Might Be Giants' career has always been one of unlikely innovation. Their most notorious innovation, Dial-A-Song, was revitalised for 2015. Originally launched in 1983 from John Flansburgh's Brooklyn kitchen via a consumer answering machine, Dial-A-Song let listeners in on the latest and greatest from the band years before their career took off on an international level.
With the return of Dial-A-Song last year, the band posted a new track and accompanying music video every week to unanimous exclamations of joy from fans old and new.
Phone Power follows the release of Glean and Why? in 2015, making it the 3rd, and final, album proper culled from the humungous Dial-a-song catalog.
They Might Be Giants have been delivering highly energetic, highly melodic and highly imaginative music for over thirty years. They write, record and perform continuously. Brooklyn's original alternative rockers have made more than a dozen albums, sold more than a million, and won a couple of Grammys. They have created DVD and book projects for kids, and contributed themes and songs to numerous television and film projects.
With a non-stop touring and recording schedule throughout 2015 and into 2016 the band have announced that they're taking a well-earned break. Following the end of the current US tour, the duo are officially on indefinite hiatus. See the tracklisting here.
Schorr - New York Blues Hall Of Fame inductee and former Joe Louis Walker vocalist - recently said: "I'll be forever grateful to have been given this extraordinary opportunity to record the music I love with artists I so deeply admire."

Billed as the "the world's largest, one-day music showcase" with The Bash Dogs, High Sunday and Brandon Wildish performing at Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood on Hollywood Blvd. beginning at 8 p.m. We were sent the following details about the event:
From New York to Japan to Australia, Hard Rock Rising, in partnership with ReverbNation, saw 10,000 up-and-coming musicians register to compete for a chance to become the Hard Rock Rising champion.
The global grand prize winner and four regional finalists will take home a professionally-produced music video, a 1,000 count CD/DVD pack of their latest recording from Bison Disc and a Fender Instruments prize pack. Additionally, the grand prize winner will take home $50,000 USD and an all-expenses-paid trip to perform at Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza in September.
"This year marks the first time in the six year history of Hard Rock Rising that we are syncing all performances on one day, elevating the competition and creating an immersive, social experience for music fans worldwide," said Jeff Nolan, Hard Rock International's Music and Memorabilia Historian. "On June 1, you can walk into a Hard Rock Cafe or Hotel anywhere in the world and enjoy live music from some of the most talented up-and-coming acts in more than 100 markets."
Hard Rock compiled a panel of artists and music industry veterans to judge this year's competition. Together, the panel of talented and diverse judges will vote to determine who has what it takes to take home top honors.
Bands participating in the showcase have been narrowed down from a record-breaking 10,000 entries entered via ReverbNation through a combination of online fan voting, and local Hard Rock Cafe or Hotel team nominations. On June 1, one winner will be selected at each location by a panel of local judges. These winners will be evaluated by the expert panel of international artists and music industry professionals, who will narrow the local winners down to four regional finalists and one global grand prize winner.
Committed to supporting music and emerging artists around the globe, Hard Rock International hosted more than 31,000 live music events worldwide in 2015. The brand continues its dedication to support up-and-coming artists in 2016 with Hard Rock Rising global music showcase, providing a forum for today's new talent to connect with music fans around the world.
