One person who wasn't offended by her latest track is billionaire Bill Gates. He recently spoke to Wired about his reaction to Beyonce name dropping him in a song.
Gates told the tech publication, "I hadn't realized that she did that until somebody in the office actually sent me a copy of the lyrics and I said, 'Are you serious? This is kind of a strange set of words here.' I'm surprised."
Bill Gates says he took Beyonce's lyrics, which read, "You just might be a black Bill Gates in the making, cause I slay/ I just might be a black Bill Gates in the making," as a compliment. Read more here.
The magazine, which hits stands Friday, promises an in depth interview covering Bieber's relationship with God and his difficulty of forming new friendships.

Fans of the pop singer have bound together and are planning a rally on Friday (Feb. 26) at Sony at 550 Madison Ave in New York City from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (ET). Michael Eisele, the rally's lead organizer released a statement to Billboard stating, "Kesha was offered by Sony to record music with producers other than Dr. Luke.
"However, Kesha is signed with Kemosabe, Dr. Luke's recording label, which is under Sony Music's umbrella. Therefore, any music Kesha is expected to release will be under his label, have his name on it, earn him profits and will be undoubtedly left to plummetregardless of who the producer is." Eno brings together beautiful songs, minimalist ambience, physical electronics omniscient narratives and technical innovation into a single, cinematic suite. The result is the very best of Eno, a record without parallel in his catalogue.
"On a musical level, I wanted to make a record of songs that didn't rely on the normal underpinnings of rhythmic structure and chord progressions but which allowed voices to exist in their own space and time, like events in a landscape. I wanted to place sonic events in a free, open space.
One of the starting points was my fascination with the First World War, that extraordinary trans-cultural madness that arose out of a clash of hubris between empires. It followed immediately after the sinking of the Titanic, which to me is its analogue. The Titanic was the Unsinkable Ship, the apex of human technical power, set to be Man's greatest triumph over nature. The First World War was the war of materiel, 'over by Christmas', set to be the triumph of Will and Steel over humanity. The catastrophic failure of each set the stage for a century of dramatic experiments with the relationships between humans and the worlds they make for themselves.
I was thinking of those vast dun Belgian fields where the First World War was agonisingly ground out; and the vast deep ocean where the Titanic sank; and how little difference all that human hope and disappointment made to it. They persist and we pass in a cloud of chatter."
The album opens with the 21-minute eponymously titled "The Ship" on which Eno's cyclically sung sea-chant builds in ominous drama, snatches of distant voice and creeping electronics. Listen in a dark room and physically feel the power of this endless sea. "Wave. After. Wave."
"Fickle Sun" follows in three movements. The first continues where "The Ship" left but with Eno's voice sounding more upfront, determined, even despairing: "and so the dismal work is done" / "the empty eyes, the end begun" / "there's no-one rowing any more, abandoned far from any shore" and the refrain "when I was a young soldier..".
"The poem read by Peter Serafinowicz was created by a Markov Chain Generator (software written by Peter Chilvers) into which we fed accounts of the sinking of the Titanic, some First World War soldiers songs, various bits of cyber-bureaucracy and warnings about hacking, some songs of mine, some descriptions of machinery, and so on. The Generator produced thousands of lines of text from which I extracted a few and then put them into this order."
The album's finale is a Lou Reed penned cover of The Velvet Underground's "I'm Set Free", a band who were famously credited by Eno as the inspiration behind his early music explorations as an art student.
"Written in the late sixties, Lou Reed's song "I'M SET FREE" seems even more relevant now than it did then. Perhaps anybody who's read Yuval Noah Harari's SAPIENS will recognise the quiet irony of 'I'm set free to find a new illusion'...and its implication that when we step out of our story we don't step into 'the truth' - whatever that might be - but into another story."
Coinciding with The Ship's release, a series of Eno installations will be happening around the World at which you will be able to hear an alternative telling of The Ship in multi-channel 3-dimensional sound installations. The impact of The Ship album will surely be felt long after these installations are ended; it signals yet another cycle in Eno's creative career.
"This album is a succession of interleaved stories. Some of them I know, some of them I'm discovering now in the making of them."
Tracklist:
01. The Ship
02. Fickle Sun (i) Fickle Sun (ii) The Hour Is Thin (iii) I'm Set Free
"I've been loosely working on it the last couple of years. But I really started toward the middle and end of last year to really buckle down and meet with new collaborators and producers, people I want to work with and people I have never worked with before."
Aguilera claims the wait for new music is coming to an end. "I can't say much about it yet because I want to wait until it's good and ready. I am working on it and will be ready when it can be the authentic masterpiece that it deserves to be. But later this year, most likely," she revealed. Read more here.
The event is a personal one for Hayes - whose country hits include "Old Enough to Know Better" and "I'm Still Dancin' With You" - who survived a colorectal cancer diagnosis.
"I give the glory to God and credit to Dr. [Jordan] Berlin and the staff at Vanderbilt for being alive today," Hayes told Rolling Stone Country. "I am absolutely thrilled that Miranda, Kix and Steve are taking time out of their busy schedules to join us, and we're looking forward to a great night of music for a cause that will always be near and dear to my heart." The creative team staged a performance and made a video of iconic characters like Maria, the children and Captain von Trapp performing songs about love, fame and disco sticks.
Anton Belmonte, who directed the video, said he never expected the public to see the video--which was filmed last April. "It wasn't supposed to be released. I'm not sure how it has actually come out as it wasn't initially approved by the Rodgers and Hammerstein estate," he told Gay Star News. "I'm shocked how it suddenly appeared online yesterday." Living in New York, I cross tracks with a lot of ambitious people. We're talking ambition with rabies, here. But even in the remotest mountain village, most folks have their sights set on something just out of reach.
Not long after you chomp into your forbidden fruit, that triumph often just becomes another hole punched in the card of life and some new sparkly new obstacle presents itself. The chase is on again. That's just the nature of the beast.
As imprisoned as we may feel by everything standing between us and our shiny prize, I think that the act of waiting it out is more of a finishing school than a jail. My lyric about "[salting] the gilded cage with tears" boils down to how anguish flavors our dearest captivities until we awaken from their fugue state with our feet planted back on the solid ground. Then we move on. After all, we were made for it.
I wrote "The Homecoming" as a love song for the seemingly attainable- however that might look to you. It's an ode to whatever it takes to get you giddy and dancing with your demons in that interim between setting a goal and meeting it, or letting it go. Don't miss out on that in-between place at any cost!
Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself here and learn more about the Wolkoff right here!
The new visual uses the camera of the viewer's computer or mobile device to incorporate them into the video in real time. This is the first time the technology has been used in a music video. The video was directed by Santigold and Sam Fleischner and conceptualized and digitally developed by Yung Jake and Vince Mckelvie, with mobile app development by Bryan Yee. It plays on pop culture's fascination with viewing and manipulating one's own image.
The video should be viewed on the web using Chrome as the browser and is available for mobile handheld devices via the "Santigold" app available in both the Apple/Android app stores. Watch it here.

In the video, Donn T and Questlove star as Ethereal and The Star Maker, a Sun Ra-adorned duo of otherworldly beings who create the cosmos and the earthly environment in which human Donn T (the traveler) resides.
The "Last Breath (Questlove Remix)" video is the brainchild of director Eternal Polk (for Idegosuperego Media) with video editing by Eternal Polk and Foremost Poets, and graphics by Foremost Poets. The clip is inspired by The Alchemist and Santiago's journey to find himself. Donn T, as the traveler, is awakened from a dream where clouds have been delivered to her. The lyrics of the song speak about the courage it takes to face things that threaten us, as well as, the resilience it takes to triumph. Watch the video here.
