Patrick A. Papino deserves credit, not only for taking his daughter Isabelle to see The Boss, but for writing a letter to explain why the girl was late to school the next day.
According to Albany's Times Union, Papino wrote: 'Please excuse Isabelle's tardiness to school today. In the interest of honesty, I feel it my obligation to be straight with all of you as to the reason."
He explained, 'Last night Isabelle was lucky enough to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in Albany, and darned if he didn't play for three and a half hours. This may not seem like a good excuse, but have you ever wondered how many kids would be late or miss school outright if God were to suddenly appear? It's something like that." Read Patrick A. One such connection is showcased on "Sippin'," the unlikely collabo with Meek Mill and Future from Meek's freshly minted 4/4 Pt 2. While East may have had his reservations about Mill who was the subject of endless memes during his battle with Drake, he learned that Mill was a kindred spirit.
"You know we all on Instagram and Twitter every morning so even if you don't feel a way about a person, when you keep seeing stuff about them you might get like, 'Is he really like that?'" East said. The feeling was mutual as Mill cued up a sure smash featuring Future. "As soon as he loaded up, Future was on the hook already," East said. "There was no verses on it. He said, 'If you got something for this, let's go.' That was major. Read more here.

At first it seems to be about a girl who has a crush on another woman - which is still taboo in some circles. But it turns out that the narrator is obsessing about another woman because of jealousy; the "other" woman is with the man the narrator loves.
The members of the band, and presumably, much of the audience, hadn't heard of jealousy referenced in quite that way, in a song, or otherwise. "Girl Crush" topped the US Hot Country Songs chart and hit #18 on the Billboard Hot 100. Read more here.
