"Private Show" finds Spears showing off her funky side, which comes across in the snaps, claps and other percussive flares the song exhibits. Sure, it also contains instrumentation and synths (the elements listeners expect from a pop song-especially a Spears pop song), but "Private Show" feels largely stripped of those additions so that Spears' vocals can shine.
Spears delves into her deeper register on the second part of the chorus, singing "Work it work it, boy watch me work it/ Slide down my pole watch me spin it and twerk it." The way she plays with the meter provides an extra emphasis to the lyric's staccato-like rhythm, and shows a new direction for the singer. And then there's the bridge.
Recorded to give her voice a raw tinge, Spears goes full on fierce. She practically screams, "Strut it out, strut it out/ Eyes on me/ Watch me strike a pose/ Feel my heat." Glory will be released on August 26th. Listen to "Private Show" here.
Mariah's World will be a limited episode docu-series with only eight chances for viewers to see inside the singer's life. The show takes place as she prepares her Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour in Europe, the UK and Africa, all while planning her wedding to fiance James Packer and being a mother to her two children with Nick Cannon.
The world may be familiar with Carey the diva, but the show aims to show all the different facets of her personality and life. As the tagline promotes, "It's Mariah's World, we're just living in it!" Mariah's World premieres December 4th. Watch a clip here.
The words of the song speak directly to the team. "Who's been working so damn hard/ You got that head on overload/ Got yourself this flawless body/ Aching now from head to toe."
The song encourages and inspires listeners not to quit, but to keep on going. It's a "we believe in you" type of song. The 2016 Summer Olympics kick off on Friday night with the opening ceremonies from Rio de Janeiro. Read more here.
On Instagram, The Game shared a picture of Zachaeus Water. In May, Zachaeus was reportedly shot in the face on his third birthday by his mother's boyfriend, Nathaniel Dixon (via ABC11).
Dixon also reportedly shot and killed Water's mother. The Game's son brought the story to his attention, so the rapper donated $1,000 to the child and encouraged others to give what they could (via XXL).
The Game wrote on the social media app, "My son @HvrlemTaylor found this story & keeping it, literally brought tears to my eyes so I immediately contacted the father & decided to make you all aware of this baby's story so we could do what we do & raise $5000 quickly for him." Read more here.
