"Pretty overwhelming the amount of money that was raised by the community of Macon last night and I couldn't be more proud to call it my hometown," shares Aldean. "Every single penny helps an organization that means a lot to me and I can't thank everyone enough for helping these kids. Emotions were running high seeing all those faces familiar faces come out to support."
Every ticket was instantly snatched to the exclusive event held at the city's downtown historic Grand Opera House, as familiar faces were treated to an intimate stripped-down performance. The impressive amount of money raised by Bibb County benefits the only dedicated pediatric facility in central Georgia that enhances the lives of children through patient care, research and education.
"We are thrilled and so very appreciative that Jason took time from his busy schedule to visit Macon and offer an exclusive performance for the benefit of our patients at Children's Hospital, Navicent Health. Our young patients and their families are grateful for his support and advocacy," said Dr. Ninfa M. Saunders, President and CEO of Navicent Health.

With his Resistol cowboy hat on his head, his signature Wrangler shirt and denim with a well-worn acoustic guitar and the expert Ace in the Hole Band backing him up, Strait proved once again that he is the undeniable "King of Country Music" and consummate entertainer. As he churned through hit after hit, he lived up to the Las Vegas Review Journal's bolstering observation, "George Strait is someone you can legitimately say is in a league of his own."
"I've missed you guys and I'm looking forward to being here a few more nights this year," Strait told the crowd early on in the night before performing for over two hours. In addition to playing a selection of his illustrious 60 career No. 1's including "Give It All We've Got Tonight," "Ocean Front Property," "All My Ex's Live in Texas" and more.
Strait also took a moment to pay tribute to Merle Haggard who was not only an icon for Strait but also a friend. "We'll never get to hear Merle play live again, but his music will live on forever," Strait said before performing a medley consisting of "Mama Tried," "Fightin' Side of Me," and "My Life's Been Grand," with Strait pausing at the end in remembrance.
Kacey Musgraves opened the show. Strait first announced his plans to perform a series of select shows at T-Mobile Arena last September, immediately selling out every date in the Strait to Vegas concert series for 2016 and 2017. Musgraves will join Strait as support for all 2016 dates. See the upcoming dates here.
Rice filmed the episode during a recent tour stop at the university on Campus Events Network Presents College Days, Country Nights: The Chase Rice Back to College Tour, which is his fourth headlining run after opening for Kenny Chesney on The Big Revival Tour 2015 and consistently selling out 2,000 - 3,000 seat capacity venues on his JD and Jesus Tour last fall.
Currently at work on his next Columbia Nashville / Dack Janiels Records album expected in late 2016, Rice seized the opportunity to hit the road this spring and perform his new music for what Pollstar notes is "the most discerning crowd there is: college kids."
"Music has taken me all over the country, all over the world these last couple of years, and it's given me a life I only could've dreamed about when I was in college," Rice said upon returning to his former stomping grounds at UNC and even touring the campus football facilities where he used to train as a linebacker for the team. "But Carolina will always have my heart. I will always be a Tar Heel, and that makes this particular show really special to me. I learned a lot about life while I was here, not just as a student or a football player but getting injured and losing my dad when I was a senior in school - those experiences changed my life forever. Ultimately, they brought me to music and so it's really cool to bring it all back to where it started."
The Chase Rice Back to College Tour continues tonight at Southern Illinois University and concludes at the University of New Hampshire on May 7, after which Rice will continue to perform select headlining shows and festivals throughout the summer. See all of his upcoming dates here.
After remaining on Billboard Hot Country Song chart for 13 weeks, the single arose to the top of the Billboard chart ranking and reached No. 1 status the week of April 30.
As Tyler's first No. 1 songwriting credit, "Somewhere on a Beach" proves that the Reviver Records signee is quickly climbing the ranks of sought-after songwriting talent in Country Music. "Michael is a hugely talented young songwriter," said Reviver Records President David Ross. "Since signing with Reviver Records, we've mentioned time and again that the industry would quickly find out about Michael's talents as both a writer and musician, and it looks as though it's already happening!"
The first cut from the Davidson-Fresh collaboration, due later this year, points the way to a one-of-its-kind project that features rapper Mystikal and other unexpected artists from different genres. It's an ambitious leap of faith, crystalizing his feelings about the universality of music that Davidson can't wait for the Nashville community to hear. Davidson will release the project on his new label, Play It Again Records.
"I'm extremely excited to release this single, 'Laid Back'," expressed Davidson. "It's music I've wanted to make for a long time and I'm glad that we were able to collaborate on this project with talented people who each bring something different to the table." Stream it on Spotify here.
This show marks a handful of solo comedy dates for the iHeartMedia radio host so far, all of which have reached capacity crowds. "I love doing stand-up comedy and it's crazy that people want to come watch me do it. I can't wait to do more shows all across the country," said Bobby Bones.
The one man show is set for Saturday, May 21 on the heels of his book release, Bare Bones: I'm Not Lonely If You're Reading This Book. Available via Harper Collins on May 17, Bobby Bones takes fans on a tour of his road to radio in a touching, funny and at times heart-wrenching memoir.
