In the week ending July 26, it sold 50,000 downloads according to Nielsen SoundScan. That's up a whopping 1,721% in sales compared to the previous week and the song thusly re-enters the Hot Digital Songs chart at No. 21. It's the first time the uptempo single has appeared on the list since the tally dated Jan. 31. It's also the best sales week for any of Brown's songs since Christmas week of 2008

"When my last studio album came out in 2004, it was a low point. Nobody really wanted to hear it and I was burnt out from too much touring," he says, discussing his enthusiasm for 'Go West'. Along the way, the pair will give a special performance � "Dave Koz & Brian Culbertson Side By Side with Special Guest Peabo Bryson" � at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on August 23rd. "Summer is always the best time to take this music on the road�and I think this summer in particular, it'll be a great opportunity for Brian and I to put some positive energy out there, have some fun and, hopefully in the process, give folks a break," said Koz, a six-time GRAMMY� nominee. In celebration of the new release, the band will host two CD release parties; Saturday August 21 at Harpers Ferry in Boston, MA and Thursday August 27 at The Viper Room in West Hollywood. Additional tour dates following the release parties will be announced soon. "Transients," a 13-song, self-produced album, reflects the journey the band has been on for the last six years. It offers an eclectic mix of hip-hop, soul, and dance grooves; telling stories about the bands childhood memories, triumphs together, and staying positive through rough times. The album features a new lineup of instrumentation and presents an uplifting twist in today's hip-hop world by incorporating a combination of acoustic & electronic beats and real musician flare. In comparison to their last album, "Transients" is a more mature AMF - lyrically, musically and spiritually.

Others in the hip hop community have recognized the talent of rap duo 2G'z: M-Hat (a.k.a. Mario Chelsea) and Young Fligg (a.k.a. Ian Chidlaw). Ace Hood and DJ Khaled, President and recording artist of Def Jam South, performed with 2G'z during their tour earlier this year. Sirius XM radio host DJ Skee also collaborated with 2G'z on the creation of the underground beats featured on his album THE MIXTAPE.
