Since High School Musical 3 wrapped, Vanessa Hudgens has been desperate to appeal to a more adult audience. And that seems to be exactly what she'll do with her new movie Sucker Punch. Admittedly Vanessa Hudgens is trying to appeal to a very specific adult audience - the sort of adult audience that cuts holes in its trouser pockets so that it can masturbate discreetly at the cinema, the sort of adult audience that only became a removal man so that it could steal women's underwear when nobody was looking - because she'll be playing a naked prostitute. But a girl's got to start somewhere. The LA Times reports: "I'm playing a character named Blondie, and it's set in a brothel in the 1950s, so there's not a whole lot of clothes!� I think this is my time to really step it up and get to grow up." She talks about her role as a sexy woman "strutting her stuff" � and she does things "I would never have imagined doing."

The deal, believed to be the richest ever for a reality TV host, will see the 34-year-old front Idol until 2012. "Ryan is one of American television's most talented stars," Simon Fuller of show producers 19 Entertainment told the Hollywood Reporter. [Proving again that Fuller is a poor judge of talent and not very bright. Who else would pay someone who is so hated $15 million bucks a year to be annoying? (aside from NBC)]

The premiere will take place tonight, Tuesday, July 14 at 9 p.m. PST/Wednesday, July 15 at midnight EST. This is a 24-hour online exclusive, and the video will make its broadcast debut Wednesday night on NBC's America's Got Talent.

Pic will be developed for Cyrus to play Laurel, a 15-year-old who grows up sheltered and home-schooled in a small town. Adjusting to a big high school is difficult, and her suspicion that she's not like the other kids becomes a reality when she sprouts a pair of wings and learns that she's a fairy.

The evening will feature performances by popular artists, staged all over Manhattan, including Radio City Music Hall. MTV's 26th annual Video Music Awards will air live from New York City, for the 14th time in its history, on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 9PM (Live ET/Tape delayed PT).

In just the past two and a half weeks, American consumers have purchased more than 2.3 million Jackson albums. Record label sources have suggested that sales of Jackson's albums were particularly strong last week because of publicity surrounding his memorial service on Tuesday July 7. Additionally, a wider selection of his albums were re-stocked by key retailers, in addition to key hits compilations like "Number Ones" and "The Essential Michael Jackson" and of course, "Thriller."
