"It was really, really simple," he told MTV News recently while promoting his cameo in "American Pie Presents: The Book of Love." "I think her first concert was Poison. She saw us at Nashville at the arena. It was her introduction into rock and roll." He went on to say that despite her role on "Hannah Montana" and her reputation for making catchy pop, Cyrus truly does have a rock-and-roll spirit. "She's one of the few musicians � and I want to use that word cause she can actually play and sing � she's one of the few people who can pull it off and give it her own flare and make it sound good," Michaels offered.

Although Jonas Brothers hosted the 2009 Teen Choice Awards, this will be Nick's first time taking on hosting duties in a talk show format. His new project, Nick Jonas & the Administration, matches him with an "A-Team" of musicians, and their first album will debut on February 2, 2010. Their debut CD, "Who I Am," radically expands the borders of Nick's musical ambitions, with ten strikingly soulful new songs, all written or co-written by Nick.

The upstate-New York native has been drawing crowds wherever he plays and so impressing music lovers in the audience that they have been clamoring for copies of his new CD. Entitled "Take A Seat," the album was scheduled to be released in early 2010 but TJAY has had to push up that date in order to fulfill requests.
VH1 is counting down the "100 Most Shocking Music Moments" so viewers can relive those memorable events that were seen by all and etched into pop culture history. The five 1-hour specials will air Monday, December 28, 2009 through Friday, January 1, 2010 at 9PM*. The special will be hosted by wrestling superstar Chris Jericho and will feature commentary from a stable of music artists, industry insiders, actors and comedians including: Keith Powell of "30 Rock", Alice Cooper, Stevie Nicks, Dee Snider, Three 6 Mafia, Sir Mix-A-Lot and many more. The footage will have viewers reliving music's most infamous situations as if they just happened today! Whether the moments are sad, hysterical, or make us say "ewww"- this special promises to entertain.

The video for "Replay" was shot in Playa Del Rey, California and directed by Bobby Wan. The concept of the video plays to the song's narrative; featuring a Caribbean beach back drop as Iyaz's love interest takes over his ipod in a romantic twist on technology. "Replay" was immediately added into rotation on MTV and MTV Hits and has been added into significant rotation on MTV Hits, MTV Jams, Fuse and Music Choice among other video channels. The online premiere took place on Yahoo Music on December 11th, with an overwhelming response. In the digital space, Replay is the #1 song on AOL Radio for 3 weeks running. On Myspace, Iyaz is a top 10 artist and Replay is top 5. Replay streams around 700k times a week and the Replay prequel video was viewed approximately 5.5 million times on Youtube before the official version premiered last week. Iyaz has been named one of Entertainment weekly's Fresh faces off the charts," saying "the 22 year old is a dead ringer for Kingston's catchy island pop. "The Love Uncompromised EP" is anchored by an acoustic version of Jason's infectious lead single, "Let's Just Fall In Love Again," and fan-favorite EP title track, "Love Uncompromised" (full track listing below). The EP comes as a sneak peek of what fans can expect from Jason's forthcoming, self-titled debut, expected out Spring 2010. Fans who have already pre-ordered the full length album will be receiving the EP free of charge. In related news, Jason's first full fledged tour performing songs of his own is set to kick off at the end of January and will continue through February (full itinerary below). The cross-country trek sees him joining labelmate Matt Hires. At several of the tourstops, Jason will also be visiting local high schools to meet with his young fans and treat them to a free performance.
