Sgt. Duncan Pound of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police border integrity unit says police responded to a call about a dead person in Hope, east of Vancouver, and then called investigators who were part of the massive manhunt for Jenkins. The real estate developer and reality show contestant was wanted in California on first-degree murder charges after the mutilated body of his ex-wife was found near Los Angeles.

Officers with the West Traffic Division went to Rimes' home following the 7:45 p.m. accident in the 11000 of Montana Avenue. If police decide there is enough evidence to pursue the case, they would forward it to the Los Angeles city attorney's office for further review.

His death was confirmed by Susan Fine, a spokeswoman for Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Carter's hometown of Harvey. "We have lost an incredible voice that graced two of the most significant vocal groups of all time," said Terry Stewart, president and CEO of the hall of fame. "As a member of both the Dells and the Flamingos, Johnny was one of a select few artists inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."

In a statement, Ken Sunshine did not say why the date had been changed. He said the "King of Pop" would be interred in the Forest-Lawn memorial park in Glendale at a private ceremony. The Jackson family said earlier he would buried on 29 August on what would have been his 51st birthday. The cause of his death in June remains unclear.

With his warm, evocative vocals and distinctive charisma, Jason Castro has already earned bountiful acclaim and a fervent fan following. The Texas-based tunesmith � best known as the third runner-up on the 2008 season of Fox's American Idol � is now hard at work on his debut album, set for release on Atlantic Records later this year. Among Castro's creative collaborators are producer/songwriter Eric Rosse (Sara Bareilles, Tori Amos) and such acclaimed songwriters as Marc Roberge of O.A.R., Gregg Wattenberg (Five For Fighting), Zac Maloy (David Cook), and Espionage (Train).

"We've tried since we started to not go more than a year without throwing something new to the fans," singer-keyboardist Taylor Hanson tells Billboard.com. "So this (tour) is kind of a warm-up to the new record and...just being a touring band and staying active." Hanson says the new album, the group's third for its own 3CG label, is finished but untitled at the moment. Recorded mostly at Sonic Ranch in Torrillo, Tx., the set was produced by the group, without any co-writers.

He and J.Vegus work together to highlight a musical direction that amplifies the broadcast theme. In regard to the title and theme behind his new album, Bisco Smith states, "The Broadcast title and concept have a few layers. One, references to radios and the overall theme of tuning in show up in many of the tunes I was writing so it seemed to almost craft itself. The other thought is that the music and words are this signal I am sending out to the world and hopefully the range of listeners broadens while it is being broadcasted."
