Billboard reports: Three days after her performance of new single "Party in the U.S.A." at the Teen Choice Awards, Miley Cyrus is still facing controversy over the risqu number, which featured a prominent pole and some questionable dance moves. The sixteen-year-old singer emerged onstage wearing a tank top, hip-hugging shorts and boots and at one point straddled what resembled a stripper pole protruding from an ice cream cart. Fans immediately took to the Internet to debate over whether Cyrus' performance was inappropriate for her age and young fanbase, while Disney Channel, the home to Cyrus' "Hannah Montana" show, seemed eager to avoid being linked to the controversy.

The Stereo team has worked diligently around the clock for the past eight months, on the new face of Stereo, after a fire in July 2008. Keeping true to the essence of "a club for the people" maintaining its original history and architectural shape, as well as upgrading and adding finesse to its sound-system and interior decor. Upgrades include a new live staged format for live bands of all genres with seating, creating a modern yet intimate feel. Stereo will also be eco friendly being a "full green club" using re-purified water and recycling methods; where party people can make their mark on the dancefloor, not on the environment. With this in mind, you can expect to see a revitalized nightlife for Montreal, kick starting this Labor Day weekend with the re-birth of Stereo; where once again DJ royalty may play to a crowd with no boundaries; regardless of color, age, or sexuality it's the ultimate DJ's playground. Looking back on this history of Stereo, international DJ and Grammy Award Winner, David Morales who previously owned Stereo for six years, was renowned for his 16 hour sets at Stereo "La Vie en Stereo".
Pete Wentz, Lady Gaga, Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Rowland will make special appearances throughout the series to help Diddy and his team of experts judge the talent. In an industry overly saturated with diluted compilations containing dance music hits, Migs digs a little deeper, never having been one to chase the "latest sound" or obsess over what's popular at the moment. Instead he stays true to his original musical passion maintaining and creating a stylistically soulful yet diversely inspired vibe. Keeping it real he delivers an underground electronic experience oozing futuristic disco, dubbed out techy funk and atmospheric melodies for your listening pleasure. Get Salted Volume 2 shows off Migs' technically seamless transitions, while he blends a choice selection of underground soulful edged deep house dance grooves, including some unreleased exclusives, that evoke a true booty shaking energy whilest still capturing a deeper emotional response Get Salted Volume 2 is the perfect CD for a day at the beach, at night at your house party or in the car driving. Miguel Migs "So Far" (Yogi and Husky Deep Wash Dub Edit) brings the vibe in gently with slow synths and a soothing vibe while Nathan G "88 Keys To Love" picks it up with some classic house piano stabs. The space disco of Roberto De Carlo feat. Colin Corvez "You Are The One For Me (Miguel Migs Salted Dub)" is contrasted by the 90's Hip-House sound of Dutchican Soul "Get On Down" (Unreleased Dub Edit) and then again by the jazzy tech house of Dirty Culture "No Matter How." Swingin' soulful grooves are shared by Jay-J with Charlene Moore "Love Alive (Dub)" and Fred Everything feat. Tortured Soul "Lying To You" (Fred Everything Dub) before Migs brings in a little R&B flavor with his own unreleased dub of "Sometime (feat Tim Fuller.)" You get the point by now, don't cha? It's a soul/R&B/House/disco party mix that works equally well on large sound systems and little earbuds. - more on this story

She also performed on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The Colbert Report." Sea Sew was recorded in 14 days at a Dublin studio by Hannigan and a talented group of friends - Tom Osander (drums), Shane Fitzsimons (double bass), Donagh Molloy (trumpet, melodica and glockenspiel), Gavin Glass (piano), Lucy Wilkins (violin) and Vyvienne Long (cello). An album of elegant chamber pop arrangements and deceptively gentle folk-rock melodies, its songs have been heard on Los Angeles radio station KCRW and in episodes of "Grey's Anatomy," "Brothers & Sisters," "90210," "Ghost Whisperer" and "One Tree Hill."
