Teens Choose Miley and Twilight
AP reports: Miley Cyrus rode a wave at the Teen Choice Awards. The teen queen sailed away with six surfboard-shaped trophies at Sunday's ceremony.

Cyrus won for comedy TV actress and comedy TV show for "Hannah Montana," music/dance movie actress and hissy fit for the "Hannah Montana" movie, music single for "The Climb" and summer song for "Before the Storm." She also presented Britney Spears with the ultimate choice award.

The biggest winner of the night was vampire drama "Twilight," which sucked up nine movie awards - more on this story

Godfather Actual Father of Michael Jackson's Daughter?
AP reports: A British tabloid reported Saturday that the godfather of Michael Jackson's three children claims to be the father of the singer's daughter Paris.

The News of the World quotes Jackson's longtime friend Mark Lester as saying that he "gave Michael my sperm so that he could have kids � and I believe Paris is my daughter."

The newspaper also quotes Lester, is a 51-year-old former child star known for his lead role in the 1968 movie version of the state show "Oliver!" as saying he's willing to take a paternity test. - more on this story

Paula Abdul Now Thinks She Can Dance With the Stars?
antiMusic reports: It doesn't appear that Paula Abdul will be sitting idle after leaving Idol. While many question her singing skills, her dancing ability has never been in question. The BBC reports that: Abdul may join a rival TV talent show following her exit from American Idol, according to US media reports. The star met Nigel Lythgoe, producer of hit series So You Think You Can Dance, just days after announcing her decision to quit American Idol.

Lythgoe confirmed the talks to trade paper Variety and said there was "no question" he wanted to sign Abdul. more
But it appears the network that produced the show that inspired that knock off also wants Paula. AP says that: ABC programming chief Stephen McPherson told the Television Critics Association on Saturday that he was "stunned" to hear she'd decided to leave the top-rated Fox series and that he's contacted Abdul, whom he called an old friend. - more on this story

The Sounds Announce Headlining Tour
PR reports: The Sounds are thrilled to announce a massive leg of their world tour that will see the band embarking on their largest headlining tour to date.

Hockey's Mind Chaos Coming
EMI reports: Capitol Records breakthrough dance-rock band Hockey have been making impressive first impressions with music fans, bloggers and mainstream media around the globe with a non-stop touring schedule leading up to the October 6th release of their debut album Mind Chaos.

The Portland, OR based quartet have toured the UK with both Passion Pit and Friendly Fires and played most major festivals around the globe including stops in the U.S. at SXSW, Sasquatch, Bonnaroo and will play Chicago's famed Lollapalooza festival today.

"The last few months have been mind-blowing, a year ago we were playing at little clubs in Portland and now we're playing huge festivals around the world with bands that we're fans of," said frontman Ben Grubin. Barry Manilow DVD Coming
Noble reports: Warner Music Entertainment is pleased to announce the first time UK DVD release of 'Barry Manilow: In Concert the Legendary 1978 Concert at the Greek Theatre' on September 14th.

In 1978 Manilow was performing in the biggest outdoor amphitheatres in America on his marathon 'In Concert' tour, including a two week residency at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, playing to over 72,000 fans.
