The band postponed the final 10 shows on their US tour last month following news that Johnson has been advised by doctors to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss.
"AC/DC band members would like to thank Brian Johnson for his contributions and dedication to the band throughout the years. We wish him all the best with his hearing issues and future ventures," the band said in a statement. "As much as we want this tour to end as it started, we understand, respect and support Brian's decision to stop touring and save his hearing. We are dedicated to fulfilling the remainder of our touring commitments to everyone that has supported us over the years, and are fortunate that Axl Rose has kindly offered his support to help us fulfill this commitment."
"The European stadium tour dates begin on May 7 in Lisbon, Portugal and run through June 12 in Aarhus, Denmark as previously announced. Following this European run of dates with AC/DC, Axl Rose will head out on his Guns N' Roses 'Not In This Lifetime' Summer Stadium Tour."
AC/DC will reschedule the postponed 10 U.S. dates with Rose fronting the group. Read more

His camp put out the following "Ace Frehley was admitted to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital following his show last night at the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA. After extensive testing, it was determined that Ace's symptoms were due to exhaustion and dehydration.
"In consultation with his doctors, Ace, who aside from the exhaustion and dehydration has been given a clean bill of health, has reluctantly agreed to cancel tonight's sold out show at the Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY. The venue is working to reschedule the date in late September and expects to announce an exact date later this week.
"In the meantime, ticket buyers for tonight's show can use their tickets for the rescheduled date in September or return them at the point of purchase for a full refund. ZZ Top Forced To Postpone Tour Dates Due To Injury
(hennemusic) ZZ Top have postponed three US dates on their current North American tour following an injury to bassist Dusty Hill. Details regarding rescheduling and future ZZ Top performance dates are expected in the near future. "Hill suffered a dislocated shoulder Thursday night at the Lone Star Events Center Amphitheater in Lubbock, TX," says the band. "The injury forced the postponement of that concert until a date in the future, to be announced." The injury also caused the postponement of the group's April 15 concert at The Firelake Arena in Shawnee, OK and an April 16 show at Chilifest in Snook, TX. The Texas trio launched the 2016 Hell Raisers Tour last month, with shows scheduled into early May. Read more
Dave Navarro Rescued By NYC Firefighters
(Radio.com) Dave Navarro had to be rescued by New York City firefighters on Thursday (April 14) after the Jane's Addiction guitarist got stuck in an elevator, he revealed in an online posting. The host of Ink Master was on the way to visit a radio station when the contraption he was in plummeted 10 floors. Before being extricated by New York's finest Navarro documented the nightmare saga on social media. "Stuck in an elevator! This is what hell is like," he captioned a corresponding selfie. At the end of the ordeal, he checked in with a photo from the ground floor of the building: "This is what's happening outside - STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR." Read more
Flea Addresses Criticism Of His National Anthem Performance
(Radio.com) Red Hot Chili Peppers star Flea performed the Nation Anthem before basketball star Kobe Bryant's final game on April 13th. The performance, more improvisational than traditional, was polarizing, causing a wave of internet backlash. TMZ's cameras caught up with Flea and asked him about the criticism. "I don't care, man," he said. "I know that people who like music liked it. I thought it was beautiful. "I really don't have any concern for little small minds that get frustrated when they get blown. Guitarist Steven Van Zandt spied Bob Seger in the audience, and invited him up onstage. Seger grabbed a tambourine and joined in for the band's loud, hearty cover of The Isley Brothers' "Shout" (via Ultimate Classic Rock).

The Flaming Lips Release Video For Cover Of Bowie's 'Space Oddity'
(Radio.com) The Flaming Lips have released a video of cover of David Bowie's "Space Oddity." In February, the band covered the song in tribute to Bowie as part of a set of his greatest hits. In the video, two nuns deliver flowers to a grave while the band performs to a congregation of sad-looking matte gray balloons, until everything goes psychedelic. It was filmed at Crestwood Vineyard Church in Oklahoma City. The Flaming Lips recently participated in in the first Music of David Bowie tribute concert at Carnegie Hall. Vocalist Wayne Coyne sang "Life on Mars?" while sitting atop the shoulders of someone dressed as Chewbacca, adding to the "Bowie-ness" of it all. Watch

Abba's world-beating hit Knowing Me Knowing You became part of the pop music lexicon way back in 1977, and now fellow Scandinavian Ville Valo has put his own spin on the classic. Speaking about the cover, Mark Thwaite says, "The single sleeve and their video had a wintery feel to it, so when we decided to shoot a video for our version, both myself and Ville Valo agreed we should try and capture some of the feel of the Abba version and have a winter vibe to our video as well. Circuline Release Silence Revealed Video
(Prog) Circuline have released a video for their track Silence Revealed. It features on their debut album entitled Return, which was released last year and follows their promo for the record's title track. The band report they've parted ways with founding member Bill Shannon but have brought in Uruguayan guitarist Beledo for their second album Counterpoint - which is due out in the coming weeks. The album features a raft of guest guitarists including Doug Ott, Matt Dorsey, Stanley Whitaker, Ryche Chlanda, Alek Darson, Alan Shikoh and Randy McStine. Night Of The Prog festival Final Lineup Revealed
(Prog) Organizers of Germany's Night Of The Prog festival have completed the lineup for this year's event on the weekend of July 15-17 at the Loreley Amphitheater. They'd previously announced headliners Spock's Beard in a one-off European reunion with Neal Morse and Nick D'Virgilio to perform classic album Snow in full, plus Genesis tribute act The Musical Box, delivering Foxtrot in full alongside rare songs. The band features Emperor guitarist Samoth, Mindgrinder and Windir guitarist and vocalist Cosmo and Dark Funeral drummer Nils 'Dominator' Fjellstrom. Samoth says: "It's great to finally have this album ready for release. It took us some years for various reasons - different things in our every day and professional lives that took a lot of focus on our parts. We never felt any great pressure. "Looking back, I think the whole process affected the album in a positive way. (TeamRock Radio) We The Kings have released a video for this track The Story Of Tonight. The band released their fifth studio album Strange Love in 2015 and start a US tour in June. The song originally featured in the Broadway musical Hamilton, with frontman Travis Clark saying the band decided to record their take on the track after listening to it after failing to land tickets for the New York stage production. He continues: "We tried to get into the show but couldn't. We went back to the hotel and said, 'let's check out what the music's all about. We heard this song and were like, 'This kinda sounds like it would be a fun We The Kings type song.'" Watch the video
