Aesthetic Perfection's Daniel Graves tells us about the song "Supernatural", which comes from the band's latest studio album "Into The Black". Here is the story:
"Supernatural" is a song about the end of my faith. I grew up in what could only be described as an abusive evangelical Christian household. Letting go of years of indoctrination was both difficult and necessary. Like with all things in life, it was not black and white.
As a Christian I never felt more alive or more connected to community. I existed with a profound sense of purpose. However, I also never felt more guilty for being who I was or afraid that I would be damned to an eternity in hell.
Once I unshackled myself, I was finally living a life without fear, but struggled to find meaning in a universe that has none. It was only when I recognized that it was up to me to define my own purpose, that I finally found some peace. "Salvation's up to us."
Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
