Longtime Motorhead Member Angry At Rock Hall Snub

William Lee | 10-16-2019

Longtime Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee is not happy that he and guitarist Phil Campbell are not included on the ballot for the band's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame nomination.

Motorhead's Rock Hall nomination only includes Late frontman Lemmy Kilmister, guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke and original drummer "Philthy Animal" Taylor, but not Campbell he joined the group in the mid-1980s and Dee who joined in the early 1990s.

Dee shared his disappointment over the snub with Billboard. He told the publication, "That is pure wrong, I would say, and I know Phil will be very disappointed, too.

"We've been carrying the flag for 25 years together, and actually brought Motorhead to what it was. We did 25 years out of the 40. The original band lasted just a few years.

"They started it off, but as Lemmy said himself they wouldn't have lasted another six months doing that lineup. I don't think we would've been where we are today without the 25 years we spent touring."
