Bruce Henne | 11-06-2019

(hennemusic) Green Day mixed new music with a classic during their performance at the 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards in Seville, Spain on Sunday, which can be viewed online.

The band played "Father Of All" - the title track and lead single from their forthcoming album - alongside the 1994 smash, "Basket Case", to deliver a one-two punch at the annual event.

The group were also winners in the "Best Rock" category over fellow nominees Imagine Dragons, Liam Gallagher, Panic! At The Disco and The 1975.

Due February 7, "Father Of All..." marks the follow-up Green Day's 2016 album, "Revolution Radio", which debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200.

Green Day will embark on a global stadium tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer; the Hella Mega Tour kicks off June 13 in Paris and will visit cities throughout Europe, the UK and North America. Watch the MTV appearance here.
