Classic prog rock legends Kansas have announced a very special one-off concert at where they will be performing their landmark albums "Leftoverture" and "Point of Know Return" in their entirety.
The special show will be taking place on December 14th at The Beacon Theatre in New York City which will bring together their successful recent anniversary tours for both albums.
The Point of Know Return tour is ongoing with plans to continue it through next year. Phil Ehart had the following to say about the Beacon Theater show, "Leftoverture and Point of Know Return are Kansas's two biggest albums.
"We did more than 80 shows performing the album Leftoverture in its entirety. We are currently performing the album Point of Know Return in its entirety in select cities. So, for one night, we thought it would be exciting for fans to see us perform both albums.
"We felt this concert would be a great way to put an exclamation point on 2019, before the Point of Know Return Anniversary Tour resumes at the end of January."
guitarist Zak Rizvi added, "You do not find many theaters more famous than The Beacon Theatre in New York City. Add in being in New York City during the holidays, as someone who grew up an avid Kansas fan, this is a concert I would travel to attend. Between touring and recording a new album, 2019 was already set up to be incredible for the band. This concert will really cap it off."
