Stevie Nicks To Be Inducted Into Rock Hall By Harry Styles

(hennemusic) Stevie Nicks will be inducted into the 2019 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame by pop star Harry Styles. Originally honored as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998, Nicks will re-enter the Rock Hall at a March 29 event at New York's Barclays Center alongside Def Leppard, The Cure, Janet Jackson, Radiohead, Roxy Music and The Zombies.

The rocker is a big fan of the One Direction singer, who brought her on stage for three songs during a launch show for his 2017 self-titled debut album at The Troubadour in Los Angeles; he also performed Fleetwood Mac's 1977 classic, "The Chain", on a tour supporting the project, and played the song with the band when they received their MusiCares Person Of The Year honors during the music industry charity's January 2018 event at Radio City Music Hall in New York - which turned out to be their final show with guitarist Lindsey Buckingham as a result of Nicks' efforts to remove him from the lineup in the days that followed.

"He's Mick [Fleetwood]'s and my love child," Nicks tells Rolling Stone. "When Harry came into our lives, I said, 'Oh my God, this is the son I never had.' So I adopted him. I love Harry, and I'm so happy Harry made a rock & roll record - he could have made a pop record and that would have been the easy way for him. But I guess he decided he wanted to be born in 1948, too - he made a record that was more like 1975."

As a member of Fleetwood Mac, Nicks launched her solo career in 1981 with her debut album, "Bella Donna", which topped the US Billboard 200, produced a pair of US Top 10 hits ("Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" and "Leather And Lace"), and went on to sell more than 4 million copies in the country; she went on to issue seven more studio sets - five of which landed in the US Top 10. here.
