New York music artist RYAL just released the new single "How Much Longer Must We Fight" and to celebrate we asked Jacque Ryal to tell us about the song. Here is the story:
Writing How Much Longer Must We Fight was an exercise in simplicity and what better a topic than two people that love each other trying to reconcile through a fight. Who hasn't been there?
How Much Longer is about that point before the relationship fail, detachment, ending of a relationship. It is the "compromise conversation", the "willingness to listen, learn, change" conversation, it is the "let's give it one more go" conversation.
In last few years especially, I have seen and experienced relationships that have fallen to pieces, people that have stood up for themselves and said enough is enough of the toxicity and in some cases ghosted. A lot of people (including myself) are taking a good hard look at their relationships and recreating their lives.
Sometimes, some relationships having the "How Much Longer Must We Fight" conversation is impossible because the person on the other end is unwilling to listen, change or compromise... so for those in that situation this song is particularly for you.
