Kendrick Lamar Performs With Prince
. The one and a half hour livestreaming celebration gave some context for the new albums with interviews with his collaborators and new band from inside the studio. Prince kept his distance from the fans, appearing only to play his music, which left many fans on Twitter disappointed. But being the once elusive symbol that he is, he surprised fans by calling out Kendrick Lamar to perform with him. Earlier, Prince's engineer played a snippet of Prince's collaboration with Kendrick, saying in reference to the rapper,"Lord have mercy he's a bad man." Prince also had the engineer play his new song with Rita Ora, which he says they have to petition her label to release. If Prince speaks, we must all listen.
