(Radio.com) Superstar producer Timbaland has rather high hopes for his upcoming solo album, Opera Noir, comparing it to a certain seminal early '90s release from almost-billionaire Dr. Dre.

"I finally made my Chronic," he recently told Revolt, referencing Dre's 1992 full-length The Chronic, which spawned massive singles including "Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang" and helped introduce Snoop Dogg to the world.

"It's a culture thing. It's the truth. It's just about life in general. My life. My personal life, and I found myself as an artist and human being and as a man," Timbaland explained about the forthcoming album, which does not yet have a release date. "I found who I am."

While the prolific producer is known for mega-star collaboration with such A-list artists as Justin Timberlake, Madonna and Missy Elliott, Timbaland reported that Opera Noir will be primarily feature-free.

"Me and my new artist, her name is V. Just me and her. And Cee-Lo. That's it," he said. "When [Opera Noir] comes out and you see the whole package, you'll understand why. You'll see it, and you'll be like, 'Wow, I've never seen nothing like this.'" more on this story
