Wilko Johnson Releases Trailer For New DVD
. The former Dr Feelgood guitarist announced in January that he'd been diagnosed with terminal cancer and had decided not to undergo painful treatment, opting instead to work until his health forces him to stop. Doctors had told him he'd be gone by the autumn but he's still going strong and recently recruited Who vocalist Roger Daltrey for what will be his final album. Johnson says in the DVD interview: "My future self is quite close to me now I mean, I'm not going to get much older. Now I'm going to die, you find yourself in a retrospective kind of mood. It's all you can have, isn't it? It's all behind you, mate!" The package features his band's entire 83-minute concert, shot during what was expected to be his farewell tour, although he's managed to deliver a number of shows since then. Also included is a 67-minute interview and 26 minutes of additional extras. Check out the trailer here. Classic Rock Magazine is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
