Christina Perri Added To MTV As She Begins New Album

. The debut video for Christina Perri's hit song "Jar of Hearts" has been added to MTV with rotation starting this past Monday.

Christina has officially entered the studio to start recording her debut album with producer Joe Chicarellia (White Stripes, Tori Amos, The Shins, My Morning Jacket, Counting Crows).

The album, which is set for an early April release on Atlantic Records, will be mixed by Michael Brauer (Coldplay, Regina Spektor).

Six months after its release, "Jar of Hearts" is making its move at radio. The single cracked the Top 10 at Hot AC (BDS & Mediabase) this week and is gunning for the Top 30 at Top 40, where it's just been released. The airplay has pushed "Jar of Hearts" back into iTunes overall Top 20 Singles chart, where it currently sits at #17.

The track sold 86,000 downloads last week, passing 750,000 singles sold, putting it well on its way to Platinum.
