Rock Masters Band is a glam-y hard rock band from Helsinki, Finland, and you can hear the Finish in Sami "Haxu" Hakala's voice when he sings these two new songs. There's just something cool about that."Diamonds" is a rocking groove song, with a driving guitar riff. The chorus has a descending melodic series of notes that will stick in your mind long after the song is over. The track also features a stinging electric guitar solo. The chorus states, "I am living in a diamond," whatever that means. Maybe something is lost in the translation.
"Hit the City" has a slightly lighter touch, with electronic piano matched to electric guitar, which gives it a slightly soulful feel, in addition to its other hard rock elements.
This rock & roll is a throwback, of sorts, to hard rock of the 70s. It retains a bit of an innocence and freshness that has seemingly been lost in the American rock realm. Chances are, if you're disillusioned by contemporary hard rock, you'll did this one.
