Everlit

.
Sometimes a change of scenery can do a world of good. When it comes to rock bands, a slight change of line-up or even something as simple as a name change can work wonders. A perfect example is the case of the Philadelphia-based hard rock four-piece Everlit. Formerly working as the amusingly-named Willpowerless, the band released several albums and made quite a name for themselves regionally and took their act to the nation via multiple stints on the Warped Tour. Still, the band decided that they had pretty much reached the end of their road and called it quits. The core of the band though, brothers Jordan and Ryan Panfil, regrouped with former Willpowerless drummer Jacob Castro, added guitarist Anthony Michael and got back to work with the new moniker Everlit. This all just happened last year but Everlit's first single "Break Away," a melodic rocker appropriately-enough about getting out from underneath something that isn't working, has recently been released and is making big waves for the band at radio. Another song called "A Phoenix Will Rise" (hmm, see a trend here?) has also been released as a teaser from the band's forthcoming EP Renovate which is scheduled to drop on June 23. A late summer tour is also on tap, with dates yet to be announced. In the meantime, fans can purchase "Break Away" here, pre-order Renovate hereand watch the "Break Away" video here That'll be good preparation for all that's yet to come from these reinvigorated veterans.
