Lots of people are getting their first taste of the talents of pop singer Alexander "Xander" Cardinale through his current hit single "Made for You." At least they think they are; chances are that many who are becoming fans after hearing the song have actually heard Xander's music before without realizing it. Cardinale has had his songs featured in lots of television shows including "The Mysteries of Laura," "Ghost Whisperer," "One Tree Hill," "90210," "Castle," "Friends with Benefits" and "Rookie Blue." Cardinale is an actor too, and even though he's put his acting career on hold for the time being to focus on music, the SyFy channel has recently aired the outr� horror film "Apocalypse CA" in which he has a major role."Made for You," as a solidly written and performed pop song, gives a pretty good idea of what Cardinale is capable of musically. And those who watch the music video for the song also get a pretty good idea of what kind of fellow Xander is. The storyline for the video portrays a love relationship that lasts a lifetime, beginning as two childhood friends grow into young adulthood and experience first love. The camera then catches the couple at various stages in their lives, always loving, and always at "their special place." By the time the video ends the couple are elderly and still clearly in love. Just as clear is the notion that Cardinale is a sentimental softy at heart.
Besides radio and YouTube going crazy over "Made for You," Cardinale's song has also caught the ear of the bigwigs at Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, who've tapped the song to feature in their currently-running multi-million dollar television ad campaign.
Xander is currently working on an EP or full album to be titled Digital Youth to be released at a date yet to be determined.
