Singled Out: Karl Phillips And The Rejects

Karl Phillips And The Rejects namesake tells us about their new track "Plastic Gansta". Here is the story:

My song 'Plastic Gangsta' basically comes from me growing up in town where there's loads of idiots that think they're a gangsta.... Just because they've sold a few bags of weed.. had a fight once at school, and own a baseball bat. They're not gangsta. They're not even close to it. Deep down they know it too. But need to but on this disguise. To give them some sort of identity. Its actually pretty sad ha

Musically the song came from a hip-hop kinda bass line i wrote down the local jam night. Took that to my guitarist.... we added a ska/punk chorus and blam. jobs a gooden.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen and watch for yourself right here!
