Linkin Park Admit Fans Surprised They Went Soft With 'Heavy'

Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda admits that fans were surprised with the musical direction of the single "Heavy" which featured a guest appearance from pop star Kiiara.

Shinoda spoke to ABC radio about the song, "We felt like it really represents the rest of the album in terms of the meaning of the song and the sound of the song.

"And I know a lot of fans weren't expecting a first single to sound that way from us," he admitted. "That's been par for the course for us for many many years. Every album we've put out after the first one has gotten that reaction to some degree."
