Singled Out: Bari Leigh's Tumbleweed

Bari Leigh released her new brand album "Honey & Gravel" today (April 28th) and to celebrate we asked her to tell us about the song "Tumbleweed". Here is the story:

My whole life has been a series of new adventures. We lived in small towns, big cities, from the East Coast to the West. I never spent more than two years anywhere until I moved to Nashville. I finally found a home where I could plant some roots. I quickly realized that no matter where I lived, I still had the soul of a wanderer, a traveler, a vagabond.

I wrote the song "Tumbleweed" from the perspective of anyone who has ever loved me... but more importantly, I thought about all of the men and women who are home, waiting for their loved ones to come back to them. The wives and husbands of the military, the spouse of a long-haul truck driver, anyone who has to say goodbye to the person they love, continuously.

This song is for all the people waiting for their Tumbleweed to come back to them... to come home.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself here and learn more about the album right here!
