(Radio.com) Rapper Shawty Lo died from injuries sustained in a car accident at 2:20 Thursday morning (Sept. 21) in Georgia. He was 40. Manager and longtime friend Johnny Cabell told Radio.com affiliate V103's The Ryan Cameron Morning Show With Wanda Smith that the 40 year old, who's real name is Carlos Walker, was involved in the crash on southbound Interstate 285. Police say it happened around 2:20 this morning in south Fulton County.
Georgia local news reports that Lo was traveling in an Audi that crashed over a guard rail, hit several trees and caught fire. The accident occurred near the Cascade Road exit on I-285 in South Fulton County.
Lo, the only male passenger, was ejected from the vehicle and declared dead at the scene. Two female passengers were treated for non-life threatening injuries. Read more here.
