Bruce Springsteen Opens Up About His Depression

(Radio.com) Speaking with CBS Sunday Morning about his autobiography Born to Run, Bruce Springsteen opened up about his struggle with depression. "It lasted for more than a year and then it would slip away," he said. "Then it would come back for a year and a half."

Springsteen described the way it debilitated him, explaining, "It sneaks up on you. I got to where I didn't want to get out of bed, you know? And you're not behaving well at home, and you're tough on everybody. Hopefully not the kids. I always try to hide it from the kids."

He credited his wife Patti Scialfa, who is also a member of the E Street Band, with helping him find the strength to deal with it and find a better mental place. Read more here.
