CBS RADIO announced that country star Jason Aldean will headline the second annual Stars and Strings, a stripped-down acoustic concert celebrating our nation's military heroes and their families, according to Radio.com.
The concert will be taking place at The Chicago Theatre on Wednesday, Nov. 9, just prior to Veteran's Day and Aldean will be joined by CBS RADIO Chicago country station US99 morning show hosts Stylz and Roman as well as some big names that are still to be announced.
Aldean explain why he wanted to be a part of Stars and Strings: 'Well first of all, my dad is retired military, from the air force, and my grandfather retired from the Navy.
''I grew up in a home that had a lot of military background and sort of grew up on an air-force base. To me, it means a lot. Veterans are the reason we get to go out every day and do what we do." Read more here.
