DJ Khaled Releases Video for 'Nas Album Done'

(Radio.com) DJ Khaled released less of a music video and something closer to a short film with his latest visual treatment "Nas Album Done" off his album Major Key.

Directed by Eif Rivera and DJ Khaled, the opening two minutes show Khaled speaking with Louie Rankin aka "Ox" about reuniting with Nas. The two first appeared in the 1998 film Belly together, when Rankin played Jamaican kingpin Lennox, and Nas played a street hustler named Sincere.

From there, the video goes on a visual tour of Jamaica's underbelly, which is all set against its lushly colored tropical setting. Things transition to the standard hip-hop visual treatment when Nas shows up in a Rolls Royce and lends his verses to the track. He and Khaled, each wearing tropical African shirts, stand on white sand beaches, their colorful accouterments contrasting the beautiful blue ocean.

Things end back with Ox, though, as Khaled resumes his talks, this time sitting next to the "original bloodclot Jamaican" and insisting they have to unify in order to have any effect. After Ox keeps repeating his title, Khaled can't keep from laughing, which sends Ox into hysterics and the whole thing transitions into a colorful party with Brazilian-style dancers. Because that's life in Khaled's world. Read more here.
