(Prog) The Flaming Lips have released a psychedelic music video for their track "The Castle". The song features on Wayne Coyne and co's upcoming 16th studio album Oczy Mlody - out on January 13, 2017, via Warner Bros.
The band have also released a video in which Coyne explains the meaning behind the record's name. He says: "At first, it appealed to us because it seemed a sound like a drug. It reminded us of oxycodone. Then this initial appeal made us curious about what it could mean, and I believe when we looked it up, the very first thing that we saw was that it meant 'eyes of the young.'
"We wouldn't like the title Eyes Of The Young, but we liked how these other jumbled words could mean that." Oczy Mlody was produced by The Flaming Lips longtime collaborator Dave Fridmann and is available for pre-order in a variety of bundles - with the 2LP version coming with a 7-inch pressing of their cover of David Bowie's Space Oddity.
