(RT) Red Sun Rising have released a music video for their new single "Amnesia". The track comes from the group's debut full-length album "Polyester Zeal" (Razor & Tie).
We were send these details about the clip: Directed by Ryan Valdez and shot in Los Angeles, the storyline showcases the band in multiple incarnations, depicting music of different eras and styles - hair metal, '60s pop, '90s boy bands and country heartthrobs, as seen on TV. Emulating a late-night channel surfing experience, band members star as fictitious characters Simon Fargunkel, Burt Hansby, Donald Doozeman and Big Jimmy in their own infomercial, complete with call-in number. "Amnesia" marks a departure from the band's previous two videos for "Emotionless" and "The Otherside." Lead singer Mike Protich explains: "We take our art seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. We just wanted the video shoot to be fun and the end product to be different. The result was a reflection of our personalities 99% of the time. This band has always taken inspiration from everywhere, and showcasing some of those different musical eras and styles in the video was a fun way to represent that. The 'infomercial' was a way to poke fun at the fact that the music industry isn't what it used to be."
Red Sun Rising is currently on an extensive U.S. tour in support of Polyester Zeal, and plan to make their European debut in November in support of Skillet.
