(Radio.com) Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles" is a contemporary homage to Beatlemania, and it hasn't escaped Sir Paul McCartney's radar--neither has the #MannequinChallenge the song inspired.
The Wings founder tweeted a video of himself standing frozen over a piano while a snippet of the track plays. Goofy Paul really is the best Paul. McCartney was participating in the #MannequinChallenge, a social media sensation that gets folks to freeze on video while a song (usually the Sremmund track) sets the soundtrack.
If anyone has a claim to the song, the challenge or Rae Sremmurd's Beatlemania, it's Macca. And it's only taken a few days for this meme to come full circle. Watch Sir Paul strike a pose here.
