(Radio.com) Longtime Chicago Cubs fan and Smashing Pumpkins mastermind Billy Corgan doesn't like to mix with those other celebrity Cubs fans who only show up when the team is doing well.
Speaking with The Chicago Tribune over the weekend, Corgan shared how he really felt about celebrity "fans" who appear during playoff games or, like recently, during the World Series.
"I don't talk to other Cubs celebrities," Corgan said. "In fact, I'm anti-Cubs celebrity. Although I know a few Cubs celebrities, other Cubs celebrities tend to show up when the playoffs are around. I don't necessarily see them in June. I might be a little biased being a Chicagoan year-round."
Unlike other celebrity Cubs fans, like John Cusack and Amy Schumer, who have been spotted at recent games, Corgan was born and raised and still resides in Chicago. That definitely stands to increase his city pride. Read more here.
