After The Burial Faced Tragedy With Help From Friends

(TeamRock Radio) After The Burial's Anthony Notarmaso says that their friends in Veil of Maya and Born Of Osiris have been "shoulders to lean on" following the death of their bandmate Justin Lowe last July.

The frontman says playing with their labelmates on the Sumerian 10 Year tour has been the "perfect" comeback for After The Burial following the launch of their fifth and most "difficult" record, Dig Deep earlier this year.

It's their first record without their longtime guitarist Justin Lowe, who was found dead last July after having suffered an apparent mental breakdown following his split with the band.

Notarmaso tells New Noise Magazine: "People were asking to see After The Burial, Born Of Osiris, and Veil Of Maya together forever. We have a new record, we went through so much, and I feel like timing was just perfect for us to come out and do this tour with those guys, especially being some of our best friends.

"They all had very close, personal relationships with Justin, all the guys in Veil Of Maya and Born Of Orisis. There wouldn't have been a better tour than this one to come back and release a record on.

"When you go through hard times, you need some shoulders to lean on sometimes, and that's what these guys are for us. They've always been that way towards us. It's nice, comforting." Read more here.
