(hennemusic) Guns N' Roses delivered the debut 2016 performance of the "Chinese Democracy" track "Catcher In The Rye" during their second show at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA on July 20 and video of the performance has been posted online.
The band swapped out "Sorry" for the song, which Axl Rose reportedly wrote as a critique of the J.D. Salinger book in dedication to John Lennon after watching a documentary on his murderer Mark David Chapman.
It's the fifth tune from the 2008 album that the group has performed on the Not In This Lifetime tour, alongside "This I Love", "Better", "Sorry" and the title track.
The 25-song set featured several tracks from 1987's "Appetite For Destruction", which was released 29 years ago this week; it remains the biggest-selling debut album of all time with more than 30 million copies sold worldwide. Check out the video here.
