Alleged Jason Aldean Facebook Imposter Arrested 2016 In Review

(Radio.com) Jason Aldean was in the news in June for all the wrong reasons after a Florida man was arrested after posing as the country music star on Facebook. According to WFLA.com, Daniel Farris from Pinellas County, Florida is being accused of defrauding a mentally handicapped woman.

Farris pretended he was both Aldean and a friend of the singer's and requested $2,000 from his victim. He also convinced the woman to have sex with him.

According to a Largo Police, the mentally handicapped victim believed Farris was Jason Aldean. Reportedly, Farris told the victim that Aldean loved her but he was busy on tour and needed money. He later admitted to using the money to pay for his addiction to prescription pain pills. Read more here.
