(Radio.com) Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson revealed the band has been killing time in studio playing video games, but not Xbox or Playstation. Rather, LP members been playing mobile games, Just Get 10 and Pokemon Go when they're not writing, recording or mixing.
During their latest studio update (their first attempt at an audio podcast), Shinoda and Delson answer fan questions with one Tweet asking "What is playing in studio when you guys aren't recording." It's likely that the fan wanted to know what music the guys were listening to. However, Delson jumped in with the non-musical answer of video games, specifically Just Get 10, a popular online puzzle. "Just Get 10 had wide adoption," says Delson. "That and Pokemon Go," interjects Shinoda. According to the duo, Just Get 10 was so addicting that the band members had to actually delete the app in order to stop playing, although they theorized that Joe Hahn is still playing in an attempt to beat Shinoda's high score.
Shinoda then praises Pokemon Go, explaining that he was a fan of Pokemon in his youth and wondered how well the game translates to those unfamiliar with the Pokemon universe like Delson. When asked if Shinoda played with the cards, he recalled playing the card game while on tour. "I love it. I know all the characters. For the record, I'm level 14 now, which is good."
