It's directed by Augusta Palmer, the daughter of Robert Palmer - a member of the Memphis Country Blues Society - and will feature archive footage from the 1960s events as well as new interviews.
The Memphis Country Blues Society launched the first festival in 1966 and held three further events which became the focal point for blues music in a culturally significant period of America's history.
Palmer says: "Since the first of these events took place almost 50 years ago, it's urgent that we do interviews with people who were there and search for archival materials that will help us tell this amazing story." Read more

"As soon as we get back we're going to bury ourselves in it. We want this done - and we want to spend time, but not too much, because we wanna get it out." Read more

However, last summer the band - completed by rhythm guitarist/frontman Colin Harkness, guitarist Sniffa and drummer Rob E Burrows - appeared at a fan club meet and greet event and ended up playing a short unplugged set. Things went so well that they got together again to rehearse in private.
"Something just clicked," Burrows says. "It was fun, it was good. We all appeared to enjoy each other's company, too - so I gave in to my brother Rob's nagging."

Sister Electric will be released as a super limited edition vinyl seven inch, lathe-cut in real time on forty year old machines rescued from a Karaoke bar in Tokyo. The single will be released on clear vinyl, and each copy comes wrapped in a unique, hand-drawn sleeve.
"Sister Electric was summoned into being with a ritualistic invocation," says singer Kitty Arabella Austen. "She is the embodiment of that feeling you get when you listen to your favourite song and become a thing possessed...
