that Bloc Party will reissue their 2005 debut album Silent Alarm in remix
form on September 13th. "We'd commissioned a bunch of remixes for B sides
and singles and thought it'd be nice to collect them all together," Bloc

siN's metal news reports: As exclusively reported
here first, KORN's replacement axeman for their upcoming Fall tour will
be ex-OTEP guitarist Rob Patterson. However, KORN frontman Jonathan Davis
revealed that Patterson will not be taking to the stage while the band
performs. A statement from his personal site reads as follows:
"We hired Rob Patterson to play guitar
for the European dates but he will not be on stage. We don't want to use
samples or tape, 'cause that would suck. We are not ready to have a new

Contact Music reports: Rock matriarch SHARON
OSBOURNE is being sued for pulling the plug on a run in a London West End
production of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, following her daughter AIMEE's breast
cancer scare earlier this year (05).
Osbourne jetted back to Los Angeles with
Aimee, who had also agreed to star in the show, just days before she was
due to make her first appearance in April - but the show's producers, Monologues
Ltd, are suing her for breach of contract, according to British newspaper

in September 2005.

press release reports: For 10 years, Nocturnal
Rites have been something of a trademark for Melodic Metal. Now it´s
time for the band to look forward again as the band finished the work on
the seventh studio album "Grand Illusion", recorded and mixed at Toontrack
Studio in Umea. The resulting ten new songs sound much fresher than many
younger bands. A lot of well known musicians appeared as guests on the
great new output, namely Stefan Elmgren (HammerFall), Jens Johansson (Stratovarius),
Henrik Danhage (Evergrey), Kristoffer W. Olivius (Naglfar) and Swedish
world champion of cross-country skiing (three times world cup gold), Per
Elofsson. No joke�!
The finished album, in stores September
19th 2005, will contain a limited bonus DVD enclosing the 3 videos from
"New World Messiah", the brand-new "Fools Never Die" video, a "Making Of
Grand Illusion" and extra footage from the "Demons Of The Opera" show.

Relapse Records reports: Relapse Records recording
artists SOILENT GREEN have completed work on the first music video from
their brand new album, Confrontation.
The video, for the Confrontation roll-out
track "Leaves of Three" was shot on location in Atlanta, Georgia by Director
Chad Rullman (NILE, MASTODON, THE AGONY SCENE) for Supercollider Films
and features SOILENT GREEN (vocalist Ben Falgoust (also of GOATWHORE),
guitarists Brian Patton (also of EYEHATEGOD) and Tony White, bassist Scott
Crochet and drummer Tommy Buckley (also of CROWBAR) performing in a super-intense
setting a la the PANTERA videos "I'm Broken" and "Five Minutes Alone".
The video is expected to make its world premiere imminently. [see full
