Once a legitimate pop artist with some substantive music like "Papa Don't Preach" "Crazy for You", "Live to Tell, "Open Your heart" and "Like a Prayer" Madonna took a detour at Vogue and never returned. If last summer's tragic cover of "American Pie" is any indication of where Madonna creativity is at currently, it's in a sad state of decline. Music barely lives up to its name, with a string of disco infused, shallow pop songs. This CD is a disgrace to Madonna's earlier work.
