Do you have a craving for the alternative power-pop styling of bands like Weezer, Lit or the Get Up Kids? Then there is good news, you don't have to wait for a new album from the before mentioned groups, just pick up the "death of the alphabet ep" from Schatzi. 

With 8 songs this is really more a mini album than EP but what they hell, you get more bang for your buck. 

What you get for your money is 8 upbeat songs with nice flowing power-pop guitars mixed with strong hooks and melodies, all the good stuff. Sure it's simplistic but the simplicity is its appeal. These guys aren't trying to prove themselves as award winning musicians; they are just trying to create some catchy ear candy that can't be ignored. It may be a little sweet for people who like their music with a more hardcore edge, but if you've got an ear for melody and power-pop hooks schatzi fills the bill nicely.
