If you are a fan of Helloween and Gamma Ray's brand of power-metal than it's a good bet that you are already a fan of Iron Savior. With "Condition Red" return with all the power and intensity of their previous albums, if not a more polished sound. Especially with a song like the album opener "Titans of Our Time", which sounds like Helloween jamming with Queen and early Judas Priest, you can see why these guys are a favorite in the underground power-metal world. Let's face it, this stuff may not be the most popular form of metal but it does kick some major ass!
While it sometimes comes across as a little overdone like the verses on "Ironbound" which sounds like something that might have played by "Thundersteel" era Riot, if you're into ultra-clean production that doesn't sacrifice power than you can't do better that Iron Savior. Those who wanted the heavier and rawer vocal treatment should stick to bands like Opeth as most of those into dirtier brands of metal might not be able to get into this but that's ok, those who understand that you can make a high quality produced metal album without going pop know what they like and for those individuals Iron Savior delivers once more.
